I'm asking for prayers ... again! My son has been very, very sad this week. I need to hire a new office manager over the holidays because the volunteer who was going to cover January-February got a new job (found out late Tuesday). I need to take my parents to see my dying uncle who just went into hospice. I've got a lousy cold.
And my dog had a stroke this morning.

Argh! Dear God, please lend a hand to our sister LJ, who simply does not deserve this b.s.! And please make her sweet son happy again, and hold all your children and our doggies very gently in your hands.
And I mean it. Amen.
((((((LJ))))))
Email me to vent if you feel like it.

praying for you, your son and your dog....
oh, mercy and strength for you...
(((lj))), so, so sorry to hear all this. Prayers are with you. Deep blessings to you and yours.
Pax, C.
Thanks, all. The trip to see my uncle has been postponed.
My dog, Sandy, is able to walk a little bit today. She has enough strength and balance to be able to take care of her business. Her head is listing to the right and she is very confused and sad, but we're hopeful that she'll recover some more of her strength and abilities. It is unlikely she'll make a full recovery, however, which is terribly sad to me.
When I saw her yesterday morning and realized she must have had a stroke my first thought was, "Oh, God, please don't let me have to put down my dog before son's first Christmas without both parents."
That garbled and somewhat selfish prayer seems to have been answered.
Ugh. That's a lot for anyone.
I'm glad Sandy's a little bit better. ((((Hugs)))), prayers, and love to all of you.
Big hugs, canine and human.
