Manifest Obama

This video was made at the Asheville Obama Rally I attended recently. Notice the joy in people's faces while waiting for hours in line. This is how the whole day felt. Joyous, hopeful, peaceful. The singer is a local musician -- Billy Jonas -- who is a wonderful, crazy guy. Very mellow in this, though.

Go Asheville! Go Barack! I'm glad the debates are over. Early voting starts today. Be the change, people, be the change!

early voting? I'm jealous.

Welcome Fran! Thanks, PJ. Diane, yeah NC has Early One Stop Voting where you can register and vote the same day. Wish every state did. My parents voted first thing this morning and I was going to stop after work but the lines were too long! I heard of other people who tried to vote mid-day and also found the lines too long.

I don't think it's the McCain voters who are that eager to cast their votes. Woo-hoo!!

Hi LJ! Thanks for coming to visit me. I've seen you around too. Sometimes I thought your comments were mine! But nope, I was PG. (though I'm not as good a one of those these days either). Life is filled with wonderful coincidences. Your profile says you're a Pisces. My best friend from when I was 3 years on this planet is a Pisces! Thanks for this video. It's wonderful. Gonna post it on my Facebook.

I love this video. Now I can't stop smiling. What a difference from the behavior of the people in line at the McCain rallies...

Welcome PG (the other LJ) and Missy. Great to have you both here.

Yes, I'm a Pisces -- but I learned this year from my astrologically wise Office Manager that my moon is in Libra and my ascendant is Leo ... not sure what all that means, but I think the Leo thing kind of changes the tenor of my Piscean tendancies ...

Anyhoo ... yes, very different behavior and attitudes in the Obama and McCain rallies. I was so disturbed that McCain would not even say in the debates that people yelling "Kill him" was wrong. wow.

hey LJ, just wanted to reply. I actually really like the video, but I'm just reminding myself that Obama is running for President, not Messiah. :) (reminding MYSELF)

but I do like the positive atmosphere.

especially liked the candidates' standup last night at the Al Smith benefit. wish they would do that rather than the calls "Do you know that Obama pals around with domestic terrorists?"

I hear you, Diane. I think when we're all so desperate for hopeful news, we can forget where our true hope lies.

The stand-up was hilarious.
