However, I notice that nobody is professing their love for Faulkner, nor quoting his interminable sentences. (I do love Faulkner, btw. Not as much as a secular Jewish guy I once dated who proclaimed, "Faulkner is my god!" He came to hear me preach one day and I happened to quote Faulkner in the sermon that day -- it may be the only time that has ever happened -- and he decided that I was the "OK" kind of Christian).
