The Cut

Last month I bid on a haircut at a silent auction at a fundraiser for a local nonprofit and today I got that cut and now have a ponytail to donate to "Pantene Beautiful Lengths" for women with cancer. (Unlike Locks of Love, which requires a 10-inch ponytail, Pantene only requires 8).  So here I am:  the new do!

You look great!

I don't know what I'll do with my remaining hair, or how much I'll lose. But if I can speak on behalf of many others, thank you.

Hey Kirstin,
Sorry to read that you are now losing your hair! What a road you've been on. As you know, I've been mostly off blogs for the last few months, so I haven't kept up with your progress, but I am dedicating my ponytail to you!
Blessings, sister.

Oh my! How did I miss this all weekend??? It's so nice to see your smiling face, and your hair is faboolos! The color is beautiful, too. (Hmmm, does she or doesn't she…)

:D

Hey Sarah and Lauralew -- so surprising to see people show up here when I so rarely do. Thanks! And thanks for your kind words. Sarah -- I haven't gotten used to you having a name. I still think of you as more cows. ;-)

Diane and Doxy, Thank you, sweeties. Doxy, I had actually short hair (like yours) for almost my entire life, so this doesn't even feel like short hair to me -- though it is much shorter than it has been for the last two years. (It took two years for my short hair to grow out).

PJ -- I don't, but if I did, it would be about the color in this photo. Must be the lighting. My own real color is a mousier brown with grey streaks growing more evident by the day.

I was just going to say your hair looks lustrous and thick and beautiful (yeesh, I sound like an advertisement). The cut gives it some nice bounce. You look great and someone got some hair! Congratulations and blessings. Enjoy the new look and remember to flirt. ;-)
